Hello to you all and we hope you are over the January blues!

Smoking

As you probably all know, smoking will be banned in all public places with effect from the 1st Feb. We have spoken to 4 different agencies about how it will effect the cafe(we got 3 different answers). Basically it does not apply to cafés or bars til January next year. However when we talked to the chamber of commence in La Roche sur Yon, they advised that we should have a No Smoking area, especially as we serve food. Therefore we would like to ask people to refrain from smoking in the front area of the bar. We will get the signage put up soon. Also (as we are serving more food) can people please keep their dogs on a lead,while they are in the café. We would like to thank people in advance for their co operation.

Bike Ride

Cold weather didn't stop the January bike ride, 7 of us braved the wind to tackle the rigours of the forest once more. Hopefully we will get some of the photos on to the web page soon. The next ride is planned for the 20th February. Afterwards the cafe will be open, instead of a Bar-b-que, we will be selling soup in the café.(reduced price for those who take part on the bike ride).

Computer clinic

Barry will be in the café on Monday 12th February to help sort out all your computer problems.

Palets

Palets is still been played on Wednesday and Sunday afternoon. However as the weather has been a bit chilly (and as the team captain has his arm in a sling), some of the team have taken up cribbage.

Book stall

Jan will be in the cafe, with her book stall, Wednesday 7th in the afternoon.

Reading group

The next meeting of the reading group will take place Thursday 27th at 19.00hrs.

Think that cover just about everything.
