Pallet We are still playing Wednesday and Sunday afternoons. Unfortunately we haven't been able to play the Pic Vert for the Chairman Mao cup. Every time we have set a date for the match, the Pic Vert team call off for one reason or another. The real reason is that they must be worried about losing the trophy. Hopefully we can get an agreed date for the match before the end of the year. Golf Society 19 Golfers took part in the first Vouvant Golf Society day on the 10th October. The team event in the morning was won by Frank Retchless, Trish, Matt Clarke & Bob Wilkinson. After lunch we played 18 holes stapleford, which was won by Trish with 28 points. Many thanks to all who took part, and especially to Graham for organizing the event. I would also like to thank Alan Perry, who attended as president of the Vouvant Golf Society to present the prizes. The next Golf Day will held on the 7th November at Le Petit Chene. If you are interested in playing or joining us for the meal afterwards, the list is in the café. Bike Ride On the 24th October, 21 cyclists headed off into the forest, following a route planned out by Alan Perry. Once we got into the forest, the tracks got a little muddy, creating some good photo opportunities for Barry. (Check out the photo page a selection of the photos. After the ride, we had a bar-b-que, at the picnic area near the tower, with the compulsory game of pallet by floodlight. Many Thanks to Alan for organizing the event, Barry for the photos & everyone who took part. The next Bike ride will take place on the 14th November at 13.00hrs. Route to be decided. Holiday Yes at last Trish & I will be taking a holiday in November. The cafe will closed from the 20th November to the 29th inc. Computer Clinic The next computer clinic will be on the 13th November at 14.00hrs. 19 Golfers took part in the first Vouvant Golf Society day on the 10th October.
